This work was created using the soft pastel technique, with chalk pastels forthe filling effects (especially in the background color) and pencil pastels forthe detail effects. The shading was achieved using the hatching technique,without the use of additional equipment.
Originally from Giovinazzo (BA), Antonio Amoia graduated in decoration fromthe Academy of Fine Arts in Bari in 1991, where he learned, among otherthings, engraving techniques. After an 11-year stint in the province ofMacerata, where he earned a bachelor's degree in cultural heritage with afocus on archaeology and worked for several years in the field, he moved toMilan in 2004. For years, he has created works using the etching technique,consisting of a series of chromatic and luminous gradations achieved bysuperimposing a series of lines drawn with a fine-tipped pen. In June 2018, heparticipated in a workshop on the dry pastel technique with master RubenBelloso at the Le Muse school in Rome. He has participated in variousexhibitions and competitions in Italy and abroad, receiving numerous awards.It was also reviewed in the catalogue “L’Elite - Selezione Arte Italiana” and inissue 54 of the Mondadori Modern Art Catalogue.

Born on February 1st, 1965, in the vibrant landscapes of Bihar, India, Kumar's artistic odyssey began at the College of Art, Patna, where he emerged as a beacon of creativity, graduating with distinction in 1987. Fuelled by a relentless pursuit of artistic excellence, Kumar embarked on a transformative voyage of learning, securing a coveted scholarship for advanced studies in fine art at “L’Ecole Superieure des Beaux-arts de Marseille, France”, in 1990. His dedication and talent were further recognized with a prestigious senior fellowship in painting from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in 2015-16, a testament to his enduring commitment to his craft. Kumar's artistic repertoire is a kaleidoscope of imagery, a symphony of symbols and signs that speak to the human experience and our intrinsic connection to nature. Over a prolific careerspanning more than three decades, Padia has evolved into a versatile force inthe contemporary art landscape, working seamlessly across painting,photography, serigraphy, sculpture, and graphic design, alongside his deeppractice as a Gujarati Mandana traditional artist.Padia’s immense contribution to the art community is reflected in hisparticipation in over 354 group exhibitions and 15 solo shows globally. Arecipient of numerous national and international awards, his expertise isfrequently sought after as a jury member, visiting faculty, and culturalresource person. As a curator, he has organized over 310 traditional,contemporary, and tribal art exhibitions and workshops. He is in automobile business but he tries his best to pursue his passion. Hispassion is painting and with God's grace, He started experimenting new formsand dimensions of painting and drawing. He also encompassed the reverseglass painting art in which he could make a signature of his own. His creativityhas well been appreci-ated by all and it gives him inspiration to do more. Bibivi – Artist Statement “ Reducing reality to its essence to capture the emotion of the moment.” Bibivi In my work, I seek to reduce reality to clear and essential forms , eliminating the superfluous to capture the immediacy of the moment and its emotion . My works celebrate the joy of seeing , light, color, and simplicity, transforming everyday scenes, portraits, and emotions into recognizable visual symbols . Through a minimalist approach, I use defined black lines and flat colors , attempting to convey visual and emotional experiences with the fewest possible elements. Inspired by Bauhaus, Neo Pop culture, fashion, design and architecture , I integrate traditional and contemporary media into my creative process, from watercolor and acrylic to digital illustration and animated imagery. I am interested in achieving a minimalist elegance and a digital aesthetic , continually exploring new ideas related to technology and the changes it introduces in our way of perceiving the world. In his paintings, soft, pulsating flesh is deliberately blended with rigid,intricate circuitry. Carlos Ayala Barreto (b. 1988, New York City) is aPuerto Rican contemporary artist whose workexplores identity, memory, perception, and self-awareness through a highly personal visuallanguage. Over the years, he has developed adistinctive symbolic universe where recurringfigures such as the bear, eye, dragon, flower, andskull reappear throughout his work, each carryingmeanings that continue to evolve over time.He studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes deBayamón and the Liga de Arte de San Juanbefore earning a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Artsfrom the University of Puerto Rico School of FineArts.Ayala has exhibited throughout Puerto Rico andthe United States, including presentations at Arton Paper (New York), Art Fair 14C (New Jersey),and The Arts Center at Governors Island (NewYork). It represents the spaces, experiences, and emotions that remain withus throughout our lives, forming the foundation of our identity. Nearby, a clockcontaining an eye serves as a metaphor for time as a silent witness. The eyesuggests awareness and observation, while the clock reminds us that everymoment leaves an imprint on who we are.Detached from the fragmented body is a realistic human face, creating adialogue between reality and abstraction. Emerging from the head are tulips,symbols of rebirth, renewal, and resilience. Their growth signifies thepossibility of transformation that arises from reflection, experience, andpersonal evolution. Even after periods of fragmentation, new life andunderstanding can emerge.The abstract background reinforces the dreamlike atmosphere of the painting,blurring the boundaries between memory, perception, and reality. Valverde is a painter whose career began with the collection “PEOPLE OF THEWORLD,” recognized by critics for its commitment to the most disadvantaged.She later delved into contemporary sacred painting, with a highlight being“ON A BLACK BACKGROUND – VIA CRUCIS 21st CENTURY,” a series of 14large-format oil paintings. She also created “ACROMÍAS” and“EXPRESSIONS,” focused on female faces, whose exhibition tour wasinterrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During lockdown, she developed“ESSAYS” and later “LET NOT EVEN KISSES SILENCE US,” a collection againstgender-based violence. A work of my own creation, designed to evoke specific emotions: sadness,anger, hope, and urgency.The painting focuses on a young girl with Indigenous features—though hermixed heritage is clearly evident—seated on the ground. Her gaze, heavy withdeep melancholy and anguish, drifts toward the horizon as if something hassuddenly caught her attention. Her large, glassy eyes are framed by a subtlyfurrowed brow. Her hands are clasped in her lap—a posture that suggests she is cold.
It depicts the physical repose of an exhausted girl awakened by harsh reality,or, metaphorically, the childhood dreams and aspirations cut short by poverty,the need to work, and social adversity.This piece serves as both a reminder and a social critique. "Existing" integrates life, death, joy and sorrow. The tree was a magnificentsculpture of a "dead" tree yet more than one thing. It was dead, but not dead.Alive yet not alive. Both and neither. It reminds me of Buddha's Heart Sutra,"Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form." Broad consciousness is a remedy fornarrowing of the mind which collapses the field of potentiality into the myth ofseparation. ‘Existing’ immortalizes the Mausoleum Tree, as the ancientEgyptian Fayum mummy masks immortalize the dead...with the samematerials, pigmented beeswax on wood. The Mausoleum Tree EXISTS!

“Core in Hades” and “Under the Swan’s Wing” weave together the themes offall and metamorphosis: Core, daughter of the sun, descends into theunderworld and is reborn as a queen; the swan, an ambiguous guardian,protects and transforms the child—the celestial body becomes a boy, aninternalized and fragile light. These works explore the alchemy of transition;the attachment and resilience between shadow and light. Sunlight is nolonger merely a motif; associated with adolescence, it evokes a threshold—between radiance and fragility—where the body is shaped by the tensionbetween exposure and metamorphosis. The sun thus symbolizes both theawakening and the intensity of becoming.

To me, she is the goldenheart of the cosmos, the keeper of warmth, the silent witness to every dawnthat has ever graced the world. In my interpretation for BIEAF2026, she risesnot merely as a celestial body, but as a creative feminine archetype: a goddessof radiance who pours her wisdom, her fire, and her generative grace upon theliving earth. Opposite her stands the Boy, the Artistic Human, the tenderseeker who listens for the quiet language of nature. He is the one who stepsforward with unshaken wonder, receiving the Sun’s light not as simpleillumination, but as inheritance, a sacred passing of creative power from theeternal to the mortal. He is the young artist at the threshold, the one whodares to take his first step into the realm where imagination becomesdevotion.

나의 지나간 과거와 현재를 늘 아침에 일어나는 주변의 공간인 하천과 바다, 일출을보면서 사랑하는 반려견들과 함께시작한다.일상 속 사람들과 부딪히는 시간들을 벗어나기 위해 늘 새로운 꿈을 꾸면서 작업을시작한다.
나의 작업은 몸과 마음을 치유하는 따뜻함이고 꿈이며 삶의 의미와 쾌감을 얻기 위해서 자연과 함께 오늘도 무당 벌레가 되어 화폭안을 날아다니면서 춤을 춘다나의 작업 방식은 여러 기법과 재료로 장르 구분 없이 다양한 실험을 통해서 작품을하고 있다.

어느 날 꿈속에서 나는 화려한 옷을 입고 구부러진 피아노가 있는 방안을 날아 다니고 있다. 불면증으로 시달리다 햇빛이 방안을 환하게 비추는 어느 오후 잠시 누웠다고 생각했는데 나는 초록색으로 뒤덮인 숲 속 꽃들과 환상 속의 새들, 악보들이 날아다니는 공간에 무당 벌레가 되어 춤을 추는 것 같이 함께하고 있다.
