Description of the work : Where Light Begins is an exploration of the invisible moment when light firstemerges, not simply as a physical phenomenon, but as the origin ofconsciousness, memory, emotion, and creative life. Rather than depicting thevisible world, this painting seeks to reveal the inner landscape where humanexperience and the rhythms of nature become one. The composition is built through layers of luminous color, expressive gestures,and evolving textures. A radiant stream of golden light rises through fields ofcrimson, violet, and muted gray, suggesting neither sunrise nor sunset, but atimeless passage between darkness and awakening. The painting deliberatelyavoids recognizable forms, allowing color itself to become the subject. Everybrushstroke records a movement of intuition, creating a visual language thatinvites contemplation rather than explanation. For me, light is not merely illumination. It is the first impulse of creation, thesilent energy that transforms emptiness into existence. It carries memory,hope, and the continuous possibility of renewal. In this work, light becomes aliving presence that connects humanity with the natural world and reminds usthat every beginning is born from an unseen source. Growing up in Hue, a city where history, rivers, gardens, and changing skiesshape everyday life, I have always been deeply influenced by the subtledialogue between light and landscape. These experiences do not appear asliteral images in my paintings. Instead, they remain as emotional traces thatgradually dissolve into abstract forms, allowing viewers to discover their ownmeanings and personal memories within the composition. My artistic process is guided by spontaneity balanced with reflection. I workintuitively, allowing colors to respond to one another until an inner harmonyemerges. Every layer conceals and reveals what came before, reflecting theway memory continuously transforms over time. Through this process, thepainting becomes not an illustration of reality but an independent spacewhere emotion, silence, and imagination coexist. Where Light Begins also reflects my belief that abstract painting cancommunicate beyond language and cultural boundaries. Without relying onnarrative or symbolism, color and movement become universal expressionscapable of connecting people through shared emotional experience. Eachviewer is invited to complete the work through their own perception, makingevery encounter unique. This painting is ultimately an invitation to pause, to look inward, and torediscover the quiet place where creation begins. It celebrates the enduringrelationship between humanity, nature, and light, the invisible force thatcontinues to inspire hope, transformation, and artistic expression.
