BIEAF is the initials of Busan International Environmental Arts Festival. It is an environmental art festival of the environmental art movement that represents and communicates the harmony between environment and culture, nature and humans through artists' perspectives and expressions. It started as YIEAF, the Yongdu International Environmental Art Festival, in Busan, Korea in July 2000, and changed to BIEAF in 2002, and developed into an international event for environmental art that exchanges exhibitions, performances, and academics, and held the 20th BIEAF in 2023. The 21st BIEAF2024 'Old Future' will be held from September 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025, with 391 artists from 65 countries participating, and various contents will be provided through online galleries and offline on-site exhibitions. During the exhibition, you can discuss cooperation and collaboration on 'environment and culture' with artists from each country through social media communication, and meet with artists at the gallery site in Busan. The works of the participating artists reveal their love for the environment and art, as well as their thoughts and philosophies about the future. You can feel that even though the language is different and the environment is different, the emotions are the same. Art is a powerful message that speaks louder than words.
