Nabiila Adhwaa
Indonesia

This work tells the story of the feeling of limbo itself, the feeling of floating, drifting as if there is no purpose. The feelings depicted by the character's gray head with an anxious, confused and crying face. This work is a work that I made not long after my father died at the beginning of the year, a figure I really loved.
This is a picture of my feelings at that time, floating and drifting, feeling like I'm not alive but not dead either. I remember very well that before my father died he only wanted his child to be happy, but how could I be happy if all my happiness was with him, at that time I was quite depressed with an irregular eating and sleeping condition. I also had time to see my therapist, but in fact I was only able to really cry when someone I loved hugged me and said it was okay not to be okay. Moreover, this was the first time I had lived and learned to interpret life, he said that every bad thing would happen there are good things that can be taken depending on how we want to see it.

The colorful absurd parts in this work are a representation of the good things in the bad things that are happening. it's like we're burning a marshmallow. From the outside the marshmallow looks ugly because it's burnt, but the inside is a soft, melty marshmallow. a representation that I want to hand over to people who see this painting, they are free to have opinions and see this painting from their own perspective. so this work became, through this work I want to hug those who are feeling ""limbo"" that it's okay and not okay and through this work I also want to say a big thank you to all the people I love who have strengthened me and helped me get through the situation- difficult situation and for my father there in heaven he must be happy and no longer feel the pain he suffered. "Hi, let me introduce myself, my name is Nabiila Adhwaa, you can be called Nana. I am a self-taught artist who likes surrealism, expressionism and abstract painting. I have participated in several inter-Kalimantan painting exhibitions, I am a member of the painting community in Kalimantan, namely IPKS. I started drawing and painting when I was little, I have participated in various kinds of competitions while I was at school until I published two comics with my friends when I was in elementary and middle school, in Indonesia the work was published by Mizan Publishing and included in the KKPK series.

In this enchanting painting, a little girl is depicted within a textured circle, her gaze fixed on three vibrant balloons floating above her. Her expression reflects innocence and wonder, capturing a timeless moment of youthful curiosity. She clutches three balloons, each gently bobbing above her head—one red, one green, and one blue. The red balloon signifies her boundless energy and passion, the green balloon symbolizes growth and harmony with nature, and the blue balloon represents her dreams and the endless sky. The delicate hues and intricate details encapsulate a fleeting moment of pure joy, inviting the viewer to reminisce about the simple pleasures of childhood.

The moon, a gentle light in the night sky, is not only a symbol of beauty but also plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the environment.  Moonlight shines on the oceans, affects the flow of the tides, and affects the lives of marine creatures.  It also creates enchanting natural landscapes, inspiring efforts to protect and preserve ecosystems.  When people look at the moon, they not only feel the beauty of the universe but also realize their responsibility in protecting the environment, so that future generations can also enjoy that beauty.

The moon, therefore, becomes a symbol of the connection between humans and nature, reminding us that our existence is tied to the harmony of the surrounding environment

In my artwork, I explore the concept of promises and the essence of human nature through the lens of polygonal painting. Each face I depict is a mosaic of vibrant colors and geometric shapes, symbolizing the multifaceted nature of our identities and experiences.

The polygons represent the fragmented yet interconnected aspects of our lives. Just as our promises in the past shape our present, the varying shapes and colors in my paintings converge to form a coherent whole. Each angle and hue reflects a different moment, emotion, or memory, illustrating the complexity of the human experience.โ€‹

The present, as we perceive it, is the culmination of all our past commitments and aspirations. By painting faces with a spectrum of colors, I aim to express the brilliance of our current selvesโ€”an embodiment of all that we have pledged and pursued. These faces are not static; they invite the viewer to reflect on their own journey, their fulfilled and unfulfilled promises, and the perpetual quest for happiness. In contemplating the future, my art encourages a dialogue between our true human form and the natural world. The use of polygons, an artificial construct, juxtaposed with the organic nature of faces, underscores the need to harmonize our inherent nature with the world around us. This synthesis is crucial for understanding and communicating with nature, and ultimately, for discovering our true selves. Through my polygonal portraits, I strive to capture the essence of human natureโ€”complex, colorful, and ever-evolving. These artworks are a testament to our enduring spirit and the vibrant tapestry of our lives.""Nguyen Thu Thuy (Female) 10 Dec 1977, in Hanoi, Vietnam Viber/whatsapp: +84.913563966 Email: thuykdl2004@gmail.com Bachelor and Master: Univesity of Social Sciences and Humanities. Nicolas Dijoux_Artist Dark Cherry - Nico Dijoux.jpg

Nicolas Dijoux
Reunion - France

"  I wanted to commemorate this tradition on a medium made of century-old ""Tamarin des Hauts"" wooden boards, salvaged from old Creole houses. An inheritance of a troubled historical past, marked by both beauty and suffering of the former French colonies, the cockfight is a tradition that belongs to the intangible heritage of my island and still continues to pass through the ages. It is also one of my childhood memories that left a lasting impression on me and, I believe, best represents the social and cultural identity of the Creoles. Values and traditions that traverse the ages and still shape today's and tomorrow's Creole society should not be forgotten: the blend of cultures, the tropical lifestyle on a sunny Saturday shared between cockfights and the neighbor’s banana fritters for the afternoon snack, with the scent of the rum distillery in the distance, perfuming the air.
Moreover, the choice of the rare, century-old wooden medium emphasizes this sense of history and relic from the past, through the reuse of wood that has witnessed so many lives and people over a hundred years. This piece is a ""postcard"" that I hope will travel through time and share this fragment of my Creole youth memories.

"Tamarin des Hauts"" is an endemic species of Rรฉunion Island, whose exploitation is now mainly managed by a public organization of the French state."" Dark Cherry, born Nicolas Dijoux, is a 29-year-old artist from Reunion Island, renowned for his expertise in traditional Japanese art : Ukiyo-e. Raised in Arts and Culture from childhood, his passion for drawing started early on, initially expressed through realistic graphite sketches. His artistic journey progressed as he began exploring watercolor in 2015, followed by ink in 2017, the same year he started learning the techniques of Ukiyo-e. Dark Cherry graduated with a Master โ€™s degree in Geography, Environmental protection and Territorial planning from Moufia University in Reunion Island; He then worked in scientific popularization in an environmental protection structure before fully embracing his artistic career. He officially obtained his artist status in July 2020. Passionate with the artistic movement Ukiyo-e, I try to immerse myself by a ยซย richย ยปย state of art, using traditional techniques and mediums (like inks, brushes, Whenzou paper, gold leaf); I have also extensively studied the history of Japanese art, embracing traditional methods of framing, where solid wood are meticulously reworked into frames. Central to my artistic journey is the desire to commemorate the history of my island, Reunion Island, through this art, in order to blend these two distinct cultures. I use elements emblematic of Creole heritage in my artworks, paying homage to immaterial legacies and utilising rare, ancient and endemic woods as artistics mediums or frames in order to create artworks rich in history and character. Through Ukiyo-e art, I aspire to showcase the aesthetic beauty of my artworks, but mostly to share philosophical values on the lifestyle as well as remind our society of the appreciation for beauty in all its forms and to take time for ourselves. Exploring the abyssal world in an incredibly poetic and metaphorical way, dealing with the question of the place between an imaginary world and a revealed world.
I invite you through my work entitled WHITE FOREST, to immerse yourself in a foreign universe, full of mysteries like the deep sea, which raise questions about the fragility of their ecosystems.
I try to recreate the conditions of a symbiosis between man and this aquatic universe reinvented in a pictorial space in a phantasmagorical space. This wall sculpture is like a jungle of Nori algae, made from an assembly of elements entangled with each other, which emerge from the darkness of the abyss, like a rhizome of light.

Nissaf Chkondali, professor of visual art at the Lycรฉe pilote des arts el Omrane, holds a master's degree in science and technology of the arts, specializing in product design, from the Institut Supรฉrieur des Beaux-Arts de Tunis in 1996, followed by a Master's degree in sciences and techniques of the arts in 2006. Since 2003, she has participated in group exhibitions, both in Tunisia and internationally, as well as in international symposia. Her artistic list includes 6 solo exhibitions combining painting and ceramics, ranging from "Les Mรฉandres de la Mรฉdina" at the Galerie Caliga in 2008 to "L'Envol des Anges" at the Galerie Kalystรฉ in 2019. Nissaf Chkondali discovered the world of clay at the CNCA Sidi Kacem el Jรฉlizi, which awakened in her an unconditional love for ceramics. She then specialized in contemporary ceramics within the ATAM (Tunisian Association of Arts and Mediation). At Nissaf, the emphasis is on his favorite subject: the woman in all her splendor, adorned with golden heads, as well as her winged angels who are both rebellious and fragile, As a ceramic artist,Nissaf is committed to environmental protection, with a particular focus on preserving marine ecosystems.Through her work, she strives to raise awareness about the beauty and vulnerability of our oceans From this dialectic come palimpsestic modules that remain essential and timeless for a new configuration and a new plastic reading.

Norma Marina Solis Zavala

The painting "Survivors dancing in the dark" represents a future in which planet Earth has been plunged into darkness, but the plants, animals and humans that have survived have adapted to their new environment. Plants represent the vitality and strength of a changing world that refuses to disappear. The dance of flowers, leaves and seeds manifests the flow of life, times and hope that is never lost.

Norma Marina Solรญs Zavala was born in Cochas, Tarma, Peru. Her father Gerardo taught her to draw and paint flowers, from him she learned to be creative and smiling. Justina, her mother, taught her how to embroider blankets and knit, and from her she learned to be persistent and daring. She likes to write and take photographs. She has thirteen books published on Amazon. Since she participated in BEAF 2023 her desire to paint was reborn.

I was inspiried by the eponymous piece for solo piano by Maurice Ravel, composed in 1901. I think, my work is a good illustration to this piano piece.    I'm an International award-winning art photographer, poet, writer, song composer and singer. In 2024, I got a Certificate: The Knights of Creativity (1 out of 6 in the world) given to me by the Global Center for Peace and Human Rights - this Certificate and title are granted to innovators who have provided humanity with great services in the scientific and cultural fields. I also got the Doctorate of Honor in Art and Culture from FIDEPA together with the Royal International University

BIEAF2024 : I think, the very idea is great. We always refer to the past, which is easy, for we know it. Trying to forsee the future when it becomes the past and from the point of what we're doing today with full responsibility for our actions is a bold and important evdeavor. I hope this art project will be one more brick towards the protection of the environment.

Parimah Heidari
Iran

The natural blending of colors is beautiful because of the love bond of humans. The blue color embraces the khaki color
As the sky and the earth.

And from this connection, trees, flowers, plants, lakes and streams emerge
The painter blows his chosen colors like the wind
And from this wind, colors, waves and lotuses, bubbles appear on the small lagoon
And plains, deserts, snow, storms and storms are depicted
As in nature
The painter expands a point of color like a wave
And an eye appears, an eye on the desert sky
An eye under the ground
An eye on the edge of the sea
Or an eye that rises from the earth like the sun
And when it shows that nature and man have been searching for the truth and reflection of life since long ago."    "Parimah Heidari, an accomplished artist hailing from Iran, brings over two decades of successful experience in the realm of painting. Specializing in Abstract Art, Fluid Art, Resin Art, and Acrylic Painting, Parimah employs unorthodox methods as a creative artist.

Her inspiration stems from a profound love for the sky, galaxy, clouds, and the sea, aiming to provide viewers with a glimpse of nature through her artwork. Parimah's portfolio spans from spectacular large-scale abstract paintings and Mixed Media collages to resin art wall decor, bowls, and platters crafted from resin. Born in 1982 in Shiraz, Parimah's interest in art was nurtured during her teenage years and further flourished when she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Software Computer from Azad University in Shiraz, Iran. She has mastered the skills and chemistry of her chosen medium, continuously pushing the boundaries of the creative process. Notably, Parimah received gold and silver medals in the Isako Olympiad Arts, Crafts, and Ready-made Design Category during the 2021-2022 period, showcasing her exceptional panel compositions titled ""Beautiful Woman"" and ""Flame."" Her artistic endeavors primarily revolve around pouring techniques, where paint is applied by pouring rather than using a brush. This method, coupled with the unpredictable nature of resin, allows Parimah to explore varied textures found in nature more realistically than any other medium. For her, art serves as the primary means of expressing feelings and revealing different facets of nature and life's realities to viewers. Parimah's design perspective is evident in her approach to special subjects and objects. She has actively participated in a hundred exhibitions both inside and outside Iran, contributing to various festivals and international events. Her extensive body of work in the field of art reflects her dedication to continuous creative exploration and expression.
