Imma Mengual
Spain
Dr. Imma Mengual is an artist, designer, researcher, and educator. Her practiceis a quest for what remains: the trace, the stain, and the memory inscribedwithin materials that oscillate between the fragility of paper and the sheerforce of organic matter. She considers herself a sculptural storyteller.
Description of the work :
"Sun-child through the looking-glass" serves as a material bridge betweencosmic origin and human essence. Born from the underlying theme "From thesun to the child," the piece transforms the primordial brilliance of the sun intoa substrate of gilded paper—a textural mirror of creation itself. From thismedium, embryonic forms emerge: an "artistic-child" sculpted through denseimpastos of wax and pigment, symbolizing our most primal and ancestralinstincts. This work operates as an act of tactile memory where the sun doesnot merely illuminate, but becomes incarnate as creative spirit, invitingcontemplation on our indestructible bond with the cosmos and the restorativeprocess of art.

THE GOOD LIFE WON'T WAIT : The Sun's Embrace
Watercolor paper - glossy & mat magazine paper - Graphit pincer - Glue 10 in x 14 in 2026
The Sun's Embrace: A Cycle of Light and LifeConcept StatementThis artistic mixed-media piece blends drawing and collage, utilizingtraditional tracing and layering techniques learned during my time as agraphic design student. The narrative follows a child on a global journey to express gratitude to thesun, the source of vision and vitality. As the sun's prismatic rays touch the eye’smagical pupil, they are refracted and radiate onto the right hemisphere of theglobe, symbolically bringing it back to life. The child then pivots to the left, embarking on an active cycle of ecologicalrenewal: cleaning, recycling, planting, and revitalizing the left side of the Earth. The piece functions as a continuous visual loop, mirroring the child’s eternalorbit around the pupil, which pulses with the life-giving energy of the sun.Let's embrace the sun, the good life don't wait...

România
Visual artist and Visual Arts teacher at Mario Art Studio, holding a BA inGraphic Arts and an MA in Conservation and Restoration. Exhibited in groupshows between 2023 and 2026, while leading student exhibitions andpublishing articles on art education.
Description of the work :
Uncertain Future speaks of the collapse of familiar reference points and theuncertainty of change. Circles drift apart, while lines wander in search of acenter that no longer exists, evoking the loss of balance and direction. Thegreen space is not nature but the memory of a final innocent childhood—thelast place where safety and hope can still be imagined. The work invitesreflection on the fragility of certainty and an ever-uncertain future.
For me, the theme "From Sun To Boy" symbolizes the journey of light, life, andinspiration from nature to humanity, encouraging creativity and care for theenvironment.

Dry leaves decaying and new greenleaves, fresh flowers appearing. Decaying and appearing again and againshows that cycle of life. Happiest moment in the life, everything isimpermanent.
In her paintings, she puts more emphasis, how people perceive her paintings. She may have a story, however, for her colour balance is one of the mostimportant aspects.

Digital Art 24x36 inches 2026
This abstract work explores the relationship between landscape, memory, andemotion through layers of flowing colour and fractured texture. Rich hues ofcrimson, violet, amber, and gold move across the canvas like shifting terrain, while intricate cracked forms evoke aerial landscapes, weathered earth, ormicroscopic cellular structures. Delicate, translucent lines weave through thecomposition, suggesting unseen pathways, rivers, or the passage of time. The painting resists a single narrative, instead inviting viewers to slow downand discover their own meanings within its evolving forms. From a distance, the work appears as a vibrant abstract landscape; on closer inspection, subtlesuggestions of organic shapes and human presence begin to emerge, blurringthe boundary between the natural and the imagined. Balancing movement with stillness, the piece reflects the hidden connectionsbetween the external world and our internal experiences. It encouragescontemplation of transformation, impermanence, and the beauty found withincomplexity, reminding us that meaning is often revealed through observationrather than certainty.
